Precautions This alloy doesn't contain steel, so it shouldn't be cast like steel. Cast immediately when the metal sinks and the shadow disappears. Do not overheat to prevent slag inclusion, porosity, and ceramic chipping. Always degas before firing the ceramic. After degassing, remove the oxidation layer formed. Casting, cutting, grinding, and polishing of the alloy should be done in well-ventilated and dust-controlled environments. Users should wear protective masks. Usage Instructions | |
The wax pattern for crowns should be at least 0.3mm thick, especially at the cervical margin. Single crowns should have a sprue with a diameter of at least 1.5mm. For bridges, it should be 2.0mm or more, and the airway line should be at least 1.0mm in diameter. Before embedding, coat the wax pattern with a surfactant and wait for it to dry completely. Use phosphate-based, carbon-free high-temperature investment materials. After it begins to set, place it in an oven after an hour. Follow the burning procedure as per the investment material's instructions. Place in an electric oven. Slowly heat to 950°C, hold for 30 minutes, then cast. For casting: a. Use a centrifugal casting machine. For melting with gas and oxygen, gas pressure is 0.2MPa, and oxygen pressure is 2MPa. For acetylene and oxygen, acetylene pressure is 0.4MPa, and oxygen pressure is 2MPa. b. When using high/mid-frequency casting machines, choose the proper power and heating time. Cast immediately when the profile just sinks and has a uniform brightness. Avoid overheating. After casting, let the mold cool naturally in the air. Do not immerse in water to prevent internal stresses. Grinding the metal castings should be done using aluminum oxide grinding wheels and tungsten carbide burs. Ensure consistent grinding direction. Ceramic Firing: a. Degassing: Place the ground castings in the ceramic furnace, vacuum heat to 970°C-980°C, hold for about 3 minutes, then cool to prevent bubbles during the ceramic firing process. b. After pre-oxidation, use clean 150um-250um alumina (corundum powder) at 6kg/cm air pressure to spray off the oxide layer on the metal crown surface. Ultrasonically clean or steam-clean afterward. c. After the aforementioned procedures, proceed with ceramic firing using ceramic powders like Vita. Follow the manufacturer's instructions. It's recommended to bake the opaque ceramic in two sessions to avoid bubbles. d. After firing, there may be slight oxidation inside and around the metal crown, which can be gently sandblasted away.
